I've started manufacturing batches of cloth face masks to help out my family, friends, and community during the COVID-19 pandemic. 😷
If you are curious about the effectiveness of cloth masks, there is a very useful article on the NIH website: Testing the Efficacy of Homemade Masks: Would They Protect in an Influenza Pandemic?
In order to help out my family, friends, and community I've started manufacturing batches of cloth face masks. The process began with a quick pattern and assembling one mask using some spare Mu Cow fleece material I had. With the help of my nieces we were able to get the first full-production batch of airplane face masks from inception to post office in about 5 days. The lockdown here in Austin made gathering supplies impossible (as you can tell by the pictures of empty shelves below), and by the end of the first production batch I was completely out of fabric, tape and thread. The masks are double-layer with one white 100% cotton layer and one blue 70/30 layer. The blue layer is hand block-printed with the taleas "loopy airplane" graphic.
My face-masks typically ship within one business day. If anything comes up I'll email you and let you know.
Free for U.S. domestic orders. For more details check out the taleas shipping policies.
The double-layer cloth airplane face mask ships from Austin, Texas.
